The European Certification Board: Independent and neutral
The European Certification Board is an independent and neutral body. It coordinates the certification processes of the European Certification Body (ECB) GmbH
Its tasks cover:
The European Certification Board has been set up on a parity basis with three representatives each from the insurance industry, the users and the manufacturers. This structure is a guarantee of neutrality and optimally represents the market interests.
The representatives of the manufacturers are at the same time the chairmen of the CEN/TC 263 Working Groups:
This is a guarantee that close links to European standardization are maintained.
- Definition of the certification procedures
- Recognition of new cooperation partners
- Supervision of the certification processes
- Monitoring of the external quality surveillance
- Decisions on sanctions
- Withdrawal of certificates
